Manuscripts can be submitted in either Spanish or English. However, we encourage you to submit your contribution in your native language (as long as it is Spanish or English), because this can help reduce the publication process time if your manuscript is accepted.

 

  1. Do I need to pay a fee to submit my manuscript?

No, submitting a manuscript and the peer review process are free of charge.

 

  1. If my manuscript is accepted, how much do I have to pay?

So far, the Textual. Análisis del medio rural journal does not charge any publication fees.

 

  1. Is there any additional cost for translating the manuscript?

No, at the moment, the translation costs are covered by the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo.

 

  1. What information and documents should I have when starting the submission process in the OJS?

Before beginning the submission process, we recommend carefully reviewing the Guide for authors and downloading the templates provided for manuscript submission. You can find a cover letter template on the journal’s website, which requires only the authors’ information and a brief description of the manuscript.

 

  1. If the manuscript is returned to me with comments from the initial technical review, can I resubmit?

Yes, but you must address all the comments noted in the review.

 

  1. Is it possible to request extra time to address the reviewers’ comments after they are received?

Yes, but you must send an email with your request to jrojash@chapingo.mx

 

  1. I don't remember my username or password to log into the Editorial Manager. What steps should I follow to recover them?

To recover your login information, follow these steps:

  1. Go to OJS
  2. Click on “Send Login Details” and enter the email address you used to register.
  3. Check your email inbox.
  4. In the email sent by the system, you’ll find your username. For your password, since it is confidential, the email will include a link to reset it. Click the link and create a new password.
  5. All done! You can now log in to your profile.
