Abstract

On this occasion, the articles published in the Number 80 of the Revista Textual, Análisis del medio rural, address two major current issues of interest to scholars of Mexican and Latin American rural society. In the first part, comprised by the first six articles, the called family agriculture (FA) is multilaterally and diversely analyzed regarding its function in the reproduction of life of small and medium-scale farmers. It is important to highlight that the presentation of the articles on this topic, has been organized considering two criteria: from the theory to the practice and from the general to the particular.
