Manuscripts submitted for possible publication in Current Topics in Agronomic Science must meet the following requirements.
- The article is original and has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.
- The article fully complies with the journal's current guidelines, and the subject matter is coherent with its scope.
- A cover letter with the institution’s letterhead is submitted together with the manuscript, which is handwritten by the corresponding author on behalf of all coauthors.
- Front page according to the Guide for authors.
- Length according to the Guide for authors:
- Between 4,000 and 8,000 6,000 words for scientific articles.
- Between 2,500 and 4,000 words for scientific notes.
- Between 6,000 and 12,000 words for review articles.
- Times New Roman font, size 12, and 1.5 line spacing.
- Margins of 2.5 cm on all four sides.
- Page numbering in the lower right margin.
- Continuous line numbering along the left margin, except for tables and figures.
- Title with a maximum of 15 words.
- Names (scientific, active ingredients, among others) according to the Guide for authors.
- Abstract in Spanish and English, highlighting the most relevant aspects of the manuscript:
- Extension of 250 words for scientific articles and reviews.
- Extension of 150 words for scientific notes.
- Keywords according to subject matter and the Guide for authors.
- Tables created using the word processor's table editor, formatted according to the Guide for authors.
- Equations created using Word's equation editor.
- No equations have been inserted to display symbols or variables in the manuscript (use the insert symbol tool and apply italic formatting to variables).
- Images with a resolution of at least 300 ppi, minimum size of 945 x 945 pixels, in JPG or TIFF format.
- Figures, graphs, and flowcharts must be included as images, not as objects, as indicated in the Guide for Authors.
- Tables and figures must be self-explanatory.
- Figures must not duplicate the information presented in tables.
- Measurement units must follow the International System of Units.
- Provide the model, brand, and country of origin of the measurement equipment used.
- Provide the registration of the chemical reagent manufacturer.
- Consistency between the title, objectives, and conclusions, in accordance with the scope of the research.
- Objectives must clearly reflect what the research is about, how it is conducted, and its purpose.
- Objectives must be identical in both the abstract and the introduction.
- Detailed description of factors, treatments, experimental or sampling units, and statistical analysis.
- Detailed description of how response variables are recorded, including measurement units.
- Declared differences supported by appropriate statistical tests.
- The conclusions are drawn from the discussion and do not simply repeat the results.
- Conclusions limited to a maximum of 150 words.
- Avoid over-citation of a single idea: the individual contribution of each cited source must be indicated.
- References presented in APA 7 format.
- All references include a DOI or, if not available, the URL where they can be accessed.
- Cited references in the text are included in the reference list (and vice versa).
- No citations from theses, symposiums, congresses, seminars, school manuals, interviews, news articles, or research project reports.
- Current references: over 80% are less than 10 years old.
- No field codes in references (remove field codes). To do this, in the Word file, select all the content using the keys Ctrl + E; then, press Ctrl + 6 or Cmd + 6 to unlink all fields and remove hidden links.
- No text styles applied.
- Fluid writing, with paragraphs no longer than 10 lines.
