Resumen

La pudrición por Botrytis cinérea, es la principal causa de pérdidas poscosecha en fresa. Por este motivo el objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar el efecto de aplicaciones pre y poscosecha de ácido salicílico (AS) y metil jasmonato (MeJA) en la incidencia de B. cinerea en frutos de fresa. El experimento se dividió en dos etapas. En la primera etapa, se hicieron aplicaciones de fungicida Fontelis®, AS 4 y 6 mM y agua como Control, en plantas de fresa cv ‘3128’ en floración, en intervalos de 7 d. Al día 28 se cosecharon los frutos. En la segunda etapa, se trataron frutos en poscosecha con AS 4 y 6 mM, MeJA 0.05 y 0.10 mM y su respectivo Control. En ambas etapas, se midió la incidencia de B. cinerea y parámetros de calidad. A los 12 d de almacenamiento, la aplicación precosecha de AS a 4 y 6 mM redujo hasta 11.4 % la incidencia de B. cinerea respecto a los frutos control. En tanto, la aplicación poscosecha de MeJA 0.10 mM y AS 4 y 6 mM redujo la incidencia de la enfermedad 12.76 %. Adicionalmente, las aplicaciones de AS y MeJA en pre y poscosecha retrasaron los signos de senescencia y mantuvieron hasta por 12 d los parámetros de calidad. En conclusión, los tratamientos con fitohormonas son una alternativa sustentable a los fungicidas para controlar el desarrollo de Botrytis cinérea, alargar la vida de anaquel y mantener la calidad de frutos de fresa.
