The Revista Chapingo Serie Agricultura Tropical is a scientific journal founded in 2020, edited by the Unidad Regional Universitaria Sursureste of the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo with the support of the Coordinación de Revistas Institucionales (CORI). It is a bilingual journal. The "Revista Chapingo Serie Agricultura Tropical" arises from the interest of making known the results of the academic and scientific work of the URUSSE, which has as its main objective to serve as a means of communication for the dissemination of scientific knowledge of the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo and other national and international institutions, with the purpose of contributing to the improvement of agricultural and forestry activities in tropical areas on a global scale.

One of its initial objectives is to become a reference in the Spanish-speaking world, so it follows the guidelines of the Sistema de Clasificación de Revistas Mexicanas de Ciencia y Tecnología (SCRMCyT) del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACyT), and will seek to be included in scientific databases and indexes.


Aim and focus

The publication is aimed at the national and international scientific-academic community, in all fields related to agricultural, livestock and forestry production in the tropics, including: (a) Improvement, (b) Genetic Resources, (c) Nutrition, (d) Sustainability, (e) Rural Communication, (f) Innovation in the Tropics, (g) Socioeconomic Aspects, (h) Historical Issues, (i) Teaching and Agricultural Extensionism in Tropical Zones, (j) Public Policies and, (j) others upon recommendation of the Journal's Advisory Committee and Editorial Committee.


The journal will receive original and unpublished contributions, written in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese, and which are not simultaneously published (partially or totally) in other national and international scientific journals.
